Byron Scullin + David Chesworth Emah Fox Andras Hextape

// Byron Scullin + David Chesworth Byron Scullin and David Chesworth’s work as individual artists covers the gamut of places where music, sound and technology combine. In this special performance they will collaborating on a unique set centred around the iconic Roland TR-808 drum machine and MESS’s ultra-rare video synth, the EMS Spectre. https://soundcloud.com/davidchesworthofficial

// Emah Fox Emah Fox's dark brand of synth pop pits urgent beats and ominous synths against sweet polyrhythmic melody. Intricate production satellites around lucid vocals which shift from restrained intensity to epic and soaring. https://soundcloud.com/emahfox

// Andras Andrew Wilson is a musician working across the junction between dance and ambient music. Using a wide variety of aliases (including Andras, Art Wilson, Wilson Tanner, Berko) his releases are increasingly concerned with dissecting and reassembling an Australian vernacular sound and identity. In addition to his production work, Andrew hosts a radio show on 3RRR 102.7fm and has helped compile and reissue local and Australian music through the label EFFICIENT SPACE. https://soundcloud.com/andraaaaaas

// Hextape Hextape is the classically trained hardstyle project of Bridget Chappell, founder of Sound School. Combining hardware, software, cello and voice, she seeks out urgent dance music off the beaten 4/4 path from Baroque to present day. https://soundcloud.com/hex-tape

Based in Melbourne, MESS Ltd is a unique not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the creation of electronic sound and music, offering access to a large collection of rare and vintage synthesizers and instruments.

This event will be taking place on the land of the Wurundjeri Tribe of the Kulin Nation. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded, and pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
